ViewSonic:
Monitors include Cathode ray tube,
electrical chassis, various circuit boards containing discrete
components such as resistors, diodes, transistors, flyback transformers,
switches, knobs, and plastic used in the front panel and back cover to
protect the monitor. All plastics are identified with a recycling code
to make it easy to dispose of the plastic at end of life. All monitors
and electronic waste are disposed through ViewSonic's recycling
partners, who in turn maximize the re-use of old components before
disposal of the unit.
Although some end users like to dispose of their products themselves,
ViewSonic Corporation sponsors customers with Trade-in/Trade-Up program.
This program enables any customer to return a working or non-working
ViewSonic or Optiquest product and receive credit of new ViewSonic
product. For non working, non-repairable products, ViewSonic shall
recycle or dispose them. We shall continue to refurbish the repairable,
non-working products and sell them as "Refurbished" in line with our
existing procedures.
