Glass

  The picture tube of the monitor is of glass. On the surface of the picture tube there is fluorescence material that is poisonous, so it have to be removed before recycling. Glass can be recycled at first by crushing and then melting it.

Plastic

  Works as a supporting structure in the monitor. It is easy to remove and recycle. The problem is that there are many kinds of plastic and different kind of plastics cannot be mixed.

Iron

  Is used as cover for some parts and as conductor. It can be reused by melting.

Copper

  Is a good electricity and heat conductor. Also this material is recycled by melting.

Aluminium

  It is a light metal and is a good heat conductor. Therefore it is commonly used  in heatsinks. Like any other metal it is recycled by melting.
